large Onion

3 cloves

Garlic, minced

1 tbsp

Turmeric Powder

2 tsp

Salt, or to taste

2 tsp

Sugar, or to taste

1/4 cup

Recipe Categories

  1. In your Duo Plus, add oil and let it heat up over medium heat. Sauté your chopped onions, garlic and bruised lemongrass.
  2. Add and sauté sambal until it has a toasty scent.
  3. Add turmeric powder, water and season with salt and sugar to taste. Stir to combine, and allow this to come to a boil.
  4. Once the sauce boils, add the squid and shrimp. Stir to combine with the sambal sauce and allow them to cook till tender.
  5. Once they're cooked, the Sambal Sotong & Udang is ready to serve!
